Fall Vibes

“Wind breaker season slaps,”

Summer is over. The overcast days, cool breeze, and the trees dropping their leaves show the changing seasons. The mechanics of nature’s gears grinding to create a new type of beauty, a new arrival – fall. With such a season comes the end of the year, daylight savings, and dynamic weather.

The calendar year is slowly ending with three months left, so if there is anything you forgot to do this year, the time is now. Fall has arrived, and with that comes the harsh responsibility of everyday life. The cold air, bone-chilling wind, and dumping rain don’t typically help the average student’s state of mind. But unfortunately, there is no off-switch to nature as the elements are not going anywhere.

“Wind breaker season slaps,” senior Freeman Pilant said. He urges that rain is not welcome and in the case you don’t have a car it leaves you in “shivers.”

On the contrary, we have to enjoy and make the best out of these autumn days. Whatever the situation may be, having the weather control our feelings is no logical option, and spending energy on things out of our control isn’t worth it. Next time you’re thinking about dissing the weather, just understand it’s always getting flamed for something it does naturally, and being negative in general won’t get you to where you want to be.

Fall, a transition season like spring, launches us into the winter season. We’re not in the thick of winter but it’s right around the corner and this is just the beginning.  Autumn is a time of change, both in wardrobes and in lifestyle, and it’s our choice to make the best of it.
