Every morning, Arcata High broadcasts its morning announcements known as the Rise & Shine. Second and fifth period crews work hard to get a video bulletin out to everyone every day. Lately, there has been a small problem with the fifth-period crew. The fifth period is only filled with 15 students, and trying to cycle two anchors three times a week has not been a doable task.
If you have ever wanted to appear in the Rise and Shine, here’s your chance! You and a friend of your choice can sign up and be our morning anchor If you do wish to anchor, you must be an Arcata High student, and you must have teacher approval with your 5th-period teacher to see if they will permit you to miss class for about 15 minutes on either a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday. Then sign up using the QR code posted above. You must also have approval from your partner; if you sign someone up without permission, neither will appear as anchors.
