Jocelyn Lizbeth Bravo Ortega is a sophomore and journalist at Arcata High School. Pepperbox will be her first year but plans to bring amazing things and topics for the Pepperbox. She plans to write a section in Spanish with her peers in the Pepperbox for the first time ever! Jocelyn started writing at the age of 12 in 6th grade. She began by writing short stories and children’s books. One of Jocelyn’s biggest writing accomplishments was in 8th grade when she wrote a children's book that took place in Oaxaca, Mexico and it almost got published! She enjoys writing children's books and loves cheer and volleyball. She also loves spending time with her older siblings and talking with friends.
