Ruby Smith, Feature Section Editor
Ruby is new to journalism but is so excited to finally be working on the Pepperbox this year. She is a junior and has loved reading and writing since she was very young. She generally enjoys creative writing but can’t wait to incorporate her skills of description and storytelling into world of journalism. She has won first place and had her writing published through the Redwood Writing Contest. Besides writing, Ruby also enjoys theater, music, art, swimming, skiing, making jewelry, and spending time with her friends and family. She is in AAI theater and plays both the trombone, drums, and tenor steel pans.
Taylor Sutherland, Editor-In-Chief
Taylor Sutherland is a senior at Arcata High School and Co-Editor-in-Chief for the Pepperbox this year. This is her second year in journalism and she previously held the position of Business Manager. Now, in advanced journalism, she is looking forward to another great year of productions and exploring many new topics and stories to cover. Outside of the Pepperbox, she likes to hang out with friends and family, explore new places, participate in FFA activities, go to the beach with her dog, and drive around listening to music.
