January 14th: Mad River reaches its highest water level since the 1964 flood (California Nevada Forecast Center), causing logjams and resulting in water overflowing into several cow fields in the Arcata Bottoms.
January 14th: High waters soak fields west of Old Arcata Road keeping Bayside to its namesake.
