After the start of the new Lunar New Year, the Asian American and Pacific Islander Club hopes to continue to celebrate Asian culture. The recent rise in COVID-19 cases have caused Humboldt County to go into the purple along with most of California. As of December 8th there have now been 1,137 cases in Humboldt. As a result, locals have been pushing for more testing to be done. Testing used to be available only on weekdays, but now Redwood Acres in Eureka is available for testing everyday of the week from 7a.m.-7p.m. Covid-19 results are usually available within 5-8 days of getting tested.
