Paige Burlison has been fascinated with writing since age ten when she completed her first (admittedly terrible) novel. Since then, she has worked to hone her abilities as both a creative and an academic writer. Her biggest inspirations are works of literature (such as Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials and The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater), the outdoors, and all things abnormal. As a senior at Arcata High School and a first-year reporter with the Pepperbox, she has worked hard to gain unique opportunities and experiences to aid her writing journey in the future. Missing photo
