Ilana Maclay, Managing Editor
Ilana has been in The Pepperbox as many years as she’s been in high school. She’s now starting her third year at Arcata High as a junior. Being both a news section editor and feature section editor has given her the needed experience and confidence to help her navigate an exciting new school year with a fresh start for the paper with a new advisor and well-known peers. As a writer, she has experience covering a wide range of topics including, feature articles about AHS history, news articles with witty headlines, and show reviews. She hopes to broaden her exposure to graphic design and step into her leadership position this year as a Managing Editor.
