A wave of enthusiastic school spirit washed over Arcata High last Friday with the highly anticipated installation of a second cutting-edge digital billboard! Following the warm reception of the first digital billboard, the school admin is confident that this addition will further enhance communication and school pride.
Principal Kristin Federber addressed a visibly excited student body Friday morning, gathered near the newly erected screen. “This is another significant step in our ongoing commitment to modernizing our campus and ensuring our RISE norms reach everyone,” Federber said. “Go Tigers!”
Students are expressing palpable excitement about the new addition. “It’s just so visible!” senior Dinah Sullivan said. “Now I will be able to remember our school norms and stay respectful, inclusive, safe, and engaged!”
Although their funding was cut to finance the new digital billboard, the Fine Arts Department remains optimistic. “I really appreciate the school’s commitment to keeping up with modern technology,” Cassie Moulton said. “I originally wanted to keep the music program, but after seeing the sign, I’m glad I was out-voted.”
Students from the previously popular theater program are equally supportive. “The school is clearly prioritizing forward-thinking initiatives,” Grace Humphreys said. “I was looking forward to this year’s musical, but I understand that some things are more deserving of limited school funds.”
The administration is pleased with the overwhelmingly positive response. “This second digital billboard is a testament to our commitment to progress and effective communication,” Federber said. “Also, since it only cost an additional $20,000, we didn’t have to cut a single sports team!”
The future of Arcata High appears bright, illuminated by not one but two impressive digital displays. The collective sentiment is one of anticipation for the many ways these new platforms will undoubtedly enhance the Arcata High experience.
